The UNSW Medical Robotics Lab is always looking for several PhD students to join our research group. Available research projects include:
Project 1: Soft Wearable Assist Devices for Haptic Display and Human Augmentation (soft exoskeleton)
Project 2: Advanced Flexible Surgical Robots for Gastrointestinal Cancer, Cardiovascular Disease Treatments, and other Endoluminal Interventions
Project 3: Development of Soft Artificial Organs (heart, bladder, lung etc.)
Project 4: Multifunctional Soft Artificial Muscles
Project 5: Soft Heart Assist Device to Restore the Pumping Funciton of Heart Failure
Prospective students with background in mechanical design, mechatronics, biomedical engineering, robotics, control systems, and soft materials with good hands-on skills please feel free to contact Dr. Do via tn.do{at}unsw.edu.au with CV including names and contacts of two academic referees and academic transcripts.
There are several scholarships available for both domestic (within Australia) and international students such as Research Training Program (RTP) with a top-up of upto $10,000 per year for 3.5 years. Please follow the below links for deadlines, UNSW requirements, etc.
